Hello all! Today I am presenting you my proposal for an Art Café near Delhi Gate Lahore. Although Lahore has many historical gates from the Mughal era, but some are more prominent because they have been restored by Walled City Lahore. Restoration or conservation works are an effective way to highlight the historical significance of the city and I had a chance to give a proposal about the overall look of an Art Café, proposed near a gate.

I visited the site and realized that the place offers more seating space outdoors i.e. in an open space on ground floor and upstairs on first floor, which was again open to sky. Hence I decided to incorporate Mughal Architecture style items such as arches, paintings and woodwork to give a historical feel. I also tried to use many lighting fixtures because in Lahore, people tend to come out of their houses at night and outdoor ambiance can be enhanced only if sufficient lighting is present. I proposed the materials such as Limestone or limestone plaster as well which were mainly used during that time and that is the place from where the Mughal look comes.
All of the ideas were projected by great images and rendering methons of 3d Studio Max. I tried to introduce a small seating area inside the indoor space, where the kitchen was supposed to be present and a few people can be accommodated. I do not know whether my ideas can be converted to reality by someone, but I enjoyed working on the project. Let me know what you guys think about it.
