For me, a city is great for studying if you can peacefully study there such as there are not many busy areas filled with people everywhere, rather less the number of people, the better. This means that you can actually find a number of places within the city to make best use of your study period. Although a number of cities which are known to be busy have many universities, but there may be only some areas around the universities where there can be peace. Thus it becomes often a headache to find peace in such cities.
It is also better to choose a city where people from all over the world come to study. In that way you can find the opportunities to cope with the surroundings or new environment by finding the people of your understanding or country and thus your time becomes easy to pass. Also the more people from international cultures; the better would be your experience!
Places to enjoy or relax:
If you are a student, you would love to have many places in the city where you can spend your leisure time such as garden areas in Sheffield, UK where you can not only study but also enjoy picnics with your friends. Sports grounds are a must to have so that you can cherish playing your favorite sports.
Budget friendly living options:
For a student, budget is very important as not every student can afford a number of luxuries that the city may have to offer. Thus there should be a number of accommodation options available in the city for students such as shared housing or renting a studio apartment. The city should not be too expensive for a student’s budget and there should be different established modes of transport for each student to manage his/her budget such as buses, trams, cycling or even walking options.
These surely make some of the most important points that make a city student friendly and Sheffield, UK is the city which fulfils all the above points as per my experience.
