A short and sweet story of my visit to Weston Park Museum in Sheffield

Hi there,
This time I am writing about my experience for a visit to Weston Park museum in Sheffield, UK during a time where there were Christmas holidays in university and I wanted to enjoy without getting bored alone. If you are a current student of University of Sheffield, then this will give you hope in case you are staying in Sheffield during vacation, and if you are afraid to feel lonely since everyone of your friends or housemates is leaving Sheffield to enjoy the vacations. ..Guess what? “You can enjoy too”.
Weston Park Museum, Sheffield, UK

University of Sheffield Global Campus runs a program of different activities during any period of vacation, for students who are staying in Sheffield. The complete list of events can be found at http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/vacation. You can attend any of their events by simply signing up online, and they have guides dressed in orange to welcome you and to introduce you to others.
I think they are doing a brilliant job, since I just attended one of their events in Christmas Break, “Weston Park Museum” and got a chance to meet many other students of the University like me, from different cultures and courses, and we became friends. We wandered around the museum, as a team, looking through interesting objects and British Historical Events, and exchanged each other’s ideas. The atmosphere of the Museum is really beautiful and colorful. There are the statues of some ancient animals as well, which will make you confused whether they are real or not!!!

At the end of the Museum Visit, we sat in the café inside the museum, and while having tea, coffee and drinks chatted about each other’s cultures and places to go in Sheffield.
It was a great experience. I hope you can experience this too if you are a student at the University of Sheffield.
Thanks for reading!
