University is life is a great period in our lives where we not only get a professional degree but also receive some great memories and life lessons that linger with us forever. Some things in my university life really made me worried which I later found out to not have as much importance in my life as I thought.
University Life promises many memories and lessons |
Thus I would like to share these lessons or experiences with you guys and I would hope that these will help anyone through their university lives;
Many friendships are fake:
You are going to be surrounded by many people who will pretend to be your friends in whole of your university time. Believe me! most of them may be with you to have a benefit which may be in the form of an assignment or cheating help in exams. Only 2-5 may stay with you like friends after university life, most of them you will not see again and will not matter anymore. Thus make sure that you do not let your heart get too hurt to make all your “friends” happy. Choose the right ones to spend your energy or heart with
Indulge more in extracurricular activities:
The more societies or activities you take part in, outside of studies, the better. These not only allow you to properly enjoy your time at university but also polish your skills which can prove to be valuable on your CV and career life. Also play outdoor games in your free time to keep you healthy. Remember to not become a book work as a pure book worm lacks the real life skills and is often not entirely successful in career life.
Remember that Grades do matter but!
I actually do not agree with a statement trending everywhere nowadays saying that GPA DOES NOT MATTER. Hell no, it DOES MATTER. A high GPA can allow you to have international scholarships easily and likewise many companies prefer students with high GPA for best jobs. Hence strive to get good marks but make sure that in the race to get great marks, you are not compromising your health or hobbies. Getting great marks always help you, just like Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook, who is a nerd by the way. Just include yourself in extra curricular activities.
University Life is completely different from Job life:
A painful lesson you will learn often as you step out of your university is that job life is quite hard. I used to live in a fantasy that I have worked hard enough in my course, so I probably may have to work a little less hard in career, but the truth was the opposite. There is a lot of struggle involved in career life and there will always going to be times when you will feel like going back to university because you never lived university life enough. Thus prepare to work hard and cherish your university life as fully ad you can, because it us definitely easier than job life.
Just a few things I learnt, and I hope these will help you too. Feel free to share after giving my blog credit.
Thanks
Best Wishes
